Fælledby is a city development project, reaching for new heights within thinking life and nature together.

Among other things in Fælledby, electricity production via 30.000 m2 integrated solar roofs, is being established with the possibility for the inhabitants to participate and get part of the benefits.

Keima is delivering the electricity sharing solution for Fælledby, ensuring that all the inhabitants who want to participate can clearly see on their electricity statements,  how much of their electricity consumption comes from the community’s own production and how much comes from the spot market.

This setup is new for the real estate sector and allows businesses and private users of the buildings to benefit from the electricity produced from e.g. the solar panels on the roof of the building thereby reducing the legal risk while keeping the freedom of choice.

This means if a building has rental apartments for private living, each apartment can choose whether to participate or not, and they can change their opinion again later.

Keima handles on- and off boarding of members for Fælledby, making the energy community administration more efficient.

The participants will still only get only one electricity  statement, with all their electricity related billing information included. Their bill simply contains a few more lines, clearly stating how much they have consumed from the energy community and from the normal spot market.

The energy community model is part of what makes the investment into renewable energy production feasible for Fælledby, allowing them to build a new part of the city, where the community holds more value than just an address.
